Ruils – Our Social Prescribers
At The Green and Fir Road Surgeries, we are proud to collaborate with Ruils, an organisation that provides vital support through social prescribing. Their team works alongside us to help patients with non-medical needs, connecting them to local services and community resources that can improve their well-being. Whether it’s mental health support, advice on housing, or opportunities for social engagement, Ruils’ Social Prescribers can provide personalised guidance.
How Ruils Can Help:
Mental Health Support: Access to therapy, counselling services, and emotional well-being resources.
Social Isolation: Connecting individuals to community groups, activities, and social support to reduce loneliness.
Financial Advice: Help with managing finances, accessing benefits, and seeking debt advice.
Housing Support: Guidance on housing options, tenancy issues, and local housing services.
Exercise and Physical Health: Information about fitness programs, local walking groups, and health initiatives.
Learning & Volunteering: Opportunities to develop new skills, take courses, or volunteer in the local community.
Addiction Support: Referrals to services for addiction recovery and substance misuse support.
Carer Support: Helping individuals and families access support services for carers.
How to Access Support:
If you feel you could benefit from social prescribing, simply speak to your GP, nurse, or any member of the practice team. They can refer you to a Social Prescriber from Ruils to discuss your needs and options.
